Pundits predict Tottenham Hotspur’s winless streak to continue against Brighton

Pundits are of the opinion that Tottenham Hotspur’s winless streak will continue this weekend. Spurs are away at the Amex Stadium on Saturday evening to take on Brighton and Hove Albion (a clash between 6th and 14th), but pundits are expecting the Seagulls to hold their own against Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

After a strong start to the season which saw them beat Newcastle, Fulham and Manchester United, the Lilywhites have fallen off a bit, with three consecutive defeats this month. They lost by identical 2-1 margins to Watford and Liverpool and then fluffed their lines against Inter at the San Siro, losing 2-1 after being 1-0 up at 85 minutes.

The BBC’s Mark Lawrenson has said that Brighton will hold Spurs to a 1-1 draw, and that is also the view of Sky pundit Paul Merson, who has also gone for the exact same scoreline.

Writing for BetVictor, Michael Owen has said that he expects a much improved Spurs performance at the Amex, but also adds that “it won’t be easy” against Brighton.
