The German top flight has been full of surprises this season, with newly promoted RB Leipzig pushing giants Bayern Munich most of the way for the title.
They may have fallen slightly short this campaign; however, Champions League qualification has been assured alongside another surprise package in 1899 Hoffenheim.
Traditional powers like Monchengladbach, Schalke, Leverkusen and Wolfsburg have fallen way short of expectations- the former two are among half a dozen teams still battling to claim a spot in the Europa League next season, while the latter two, Wolfsburg more so, are in danger of relegation.
And Freiburg, with a current goal difference of minus fifteen (yes -15, you read that right), look set to be in the EL next season- perhaps the team with the worst goal difference to qualify for the EL from Germany.
After being favourites at the start of the season, the Bundesliga betting odds now place Bayern Munich as 1/5 favourites for the title after they have failed to disappoint this season.
But after another successful season of German football, who are the Bundesliga stars being linked with a move to the money pit of the Premier League?
Joshua Kimmich, Bayern Munich – Linked to Manchester City/Manchester United
The 22-year- old Bayern Munich starlet was thrust into the limelight under Pep Guardiola’s stewardship: he played in a centre-midfielder role last season where he shone for the Bavarians.
After impressing for Germany at Euro 2016, it has been somewhat of a surprise that the talented youngster has not played as much as he would have hoped this season under Carlo Ancelotti despite impressing in his 31 appearances.
Talk of a reunion with former boss Pep at Manchester City are rife – and for good reason, with City making it clear he is a target.
Manchester United are also reportedly throwing their hat in the ring but Bayern boss Ancelotti has come out and said that Kimmich is a big part of his plans for next season and is going nowhere.
However, if Kimmich believes he will get game time in Manchester, then meeting up with former coach Guardiola looks the most likely destination.

Jonas Hector, FC Koln – Linked to Chelsea
FC Koln left back Jonas Hector has a big admirer in Chelsea boss Antonio Conte. Rumour has it Chelsea made an enquiry about the defender’s services in January, and he has been in fine form ever since impressing at Euro 2016.
Hector would add competition for Marcos Alonso in the left back position although the defender himself has stated it is unlikely he will move as he intends to honour his contract with Koln, which runs until 2021.
As admirable as that may be, the pull of increased wages and Champions League football may heavily sway the 26-year- old’s decision in favour of a move to the Premier League.

Rafinha, Bayern Munich – Linked to West Ham United
Another Bayern Munich star linked to a move to the Premier League is 31-year- old Brazilian Rafinha. The full-back has been at Bayern Munich since 2011 and has won pretty much everything during his time. However, he is now finding game time harder to come by, which has prompted talk of a move.
West Ham have reportedly been keeping tabs on the former Genoa player, with manager Slaven Bilic under pressure to end the campaign on a high and build a stronger squad for next season.
Rafinha would be a welcome addition of experience to the Hammers’ back line, which has endured a difficult campaign in the side’s new London Stadium.
The player himself has stated he would consider a move to the Premier League in a bid to gain first-team football, making this move a likely prospect.
