Quincy Promes stars as ten man Oranje prevail in Agadir

Interim Netherlands manager Fred Grim become the first Dutch gaffer since 2002 to win his first away game in charge as the Netherlands emerged 2-1 victors in Agadir over Morocco.

Spartak Moscow attacker Quincy Promes, linked with a switch to England, shone in the No.10 jersey, scoring the opener and setting up out of favour Vincent Janssen for the second. Ajax teenager Matthijs de Ligt was sent off (also the youngest ever Dutch player to be red carded) , thus enabling Mbark Boussoufa to pull one back from a free kick, but the visitors held on.

Grim will also be in charge for another friendly against Ivory Coast before Dick Advocaat formally takes over. Advocaat will be in for his third term as Oranje manager after the sacking of Danny Blind and was also the last Dutch manager before Grim to win the first away game of his tenure (back in 2002)
